Gemma Barden is the Director of Clark & Gay. She is a general practice Solicitor, and was admitted to the bar in 2005.
Gemma is committed to providing her clients quality legal solutions; she focuses on providing practical and easy to understand advice; and finding the right solution for your legal needs.
Gemma works in the areas of all aspects of Conveyancing & Subdivision; Leases; Estates; Wills & Private Law matters; Family Law; Employment and assisting small businesses.
Gemma commenced her career working at the Human Rights Commission; she also was a Judges Clerk at the Tauranga District Court. Gemma has worked for several small businesses.
Gemma is resident in Waihi, where she lives on an avocado orchard, with her young family.

Shiree Blackwell joined Clark & Gay in January 2017.
Shiree is a senior Solicitor with 19 years legal experience in Property and Commercial law. She has previously worked in Hamilton and Tauranga and now advises Clark and Gay from a remote office in Fukuoka, Japan whilst she supports her husband on a Japanese Zespri assignment.
Shiree brings practical commercial experience to her legal expertise as she has her own property investment portfolio centered in the Bay of Plenty, she owns a kiwifruit orchard and together with her husband has managed and owned a business in the kiwifruit industry.
Shiree loves nature and travel. She is enjoying exploring both of these while based in Asia and has now developed a love of Japanese food, festivals and hot spring baths (Onsen).
Nayna is our Law Clerk. She is enrolled as a Barrister & Solicitor of the High Court, but does not hold a Practising Certificate at this time.
Nayna undertakes legal research and drafting.
She has several years experience in law and business. She worked for a large international accounting firm in Auckland. She then went to work in London, and Wellington, prior to relocating to Waihi.
Tahlia Allsopp is Clark & Gay's Legal Executive, who works predominately in the areas of Real Estate sales and purchases (conveyancing), Refinancing, Subdivisions and Business Purchases.
Tahlia has been working in the law for 10 years. She is a qualified Legal Executive. Tahlia is also Clark & Gay's Trust Accountant.
Tahlia lives in Waihi Beach and enjoys sunset walks on the beach.
Marouna joined the team in November 2018. Prior to joining Clark & Gay she spent five years in a large law firm in Tauranga.
Marouna is a qualified Legal Executive and is the Business Manager.
Marouna lives at Waihi Beach and enjoys all that the area has to offer.
Melissa joined our team in 2017 as a Legal Assistant.
Melissa is currently completing a Diploma in Legal Executive studies.
Melissa has lived in Waihi for 9 years and enjoys the small community.
Anne has worked for several large and small firms throughout the Bay of Plenty and Waikato regions for over 30 years. She brings a wealth of knowledge and valuable experience to Clark & Gay.
Anne focus’ on conveyancing; assisting Gemma and Tahlia with these transactions.
Nowadays Anne enjoys a semi retired lifestyle, enjoying all that the Waihi/Paeroa area has to offer.
Neil joined Clark & Gay in 2018 after 14 years with the NZ Police. As well as Policing, Neil has a history in customer service and hospitality.
Neil is our front of house and deeds manager, here to meet you when you arrive at Clark & Gay, and take your phone calls.
Neil made the move from Auckland to live in Waihi Beach in 2018 and is fast becoming a local.
