Gemma Barden, Director & Solicitor

Gemma Barden is the Director of Clark & Gay. She is a general practice Solicitor, and was admitted to the bar in 2005.
Gemma is committed to providing her clients quality legal solutions; she focuses on providing practical and easy to understand advice; and finding the right solution for your legal needs.
Gemma works in the areas of all aspects of Conveyancing & Subdivision; Leases; Estates; Wills & Private Law matters; Family Law; Employment and assisting small businesses.
Gemma commenced her career working at the Human Rights Commission; she also was a Judges Clerk at the Tauranga District Court. Gemma has worked for several small businesses.
Gemma is resident in Waihi, where she lives on an avocado orchard, with her young family.
Nayna Patel, Solicitor
Nayna is a Solicitor at Clark & Gay, and is currently working in the areas of Wills & Estate planning; plus Family and Employment Law.
Nayna has several years’ experience in law and business. She worked for a large international accounting firm in Auckland. She then went to work in London, and Wellington, prior to relocating to Waihi.
Marouna Tane, Business Manager
Marouna joined the team in November 2018. Prior to joining Clark & Gay she spent five years in a large law firm in Tauranga.
Marouna is a qualified Legal Executive and is the Business Manager.
Marouna lives at Waihi Beach.
Melissa Samuels, Legal Assistant
Melissa joined our team in 2017 as a Receptionist, she is now completing her Diploma to become a qualified Registered Legal Executive.
Melissa works remotely, outside of our Waihi office. She will generally be the person you speak to when you call our reception line.
Melissa works in the area of Estates Administration, along with Trusts. Melissa is passionate about ensuring that families and individuals dealing with Estates are guided through the administration process with ease and understanding.
Loren Goodhue, Solicitor
Loren is a Solicitor at Clark and Gay. Loren joined the team as a Law Clerk in June 2019, and was admitted as a Barrister and Solicitor of the High Court in July 2019. Loren currently focuses on Conveyancing.
She worked in Auckland as a Law Clerk prior to coming back home to Waihi Beach.
